About our school....

The Sarasas story starts over 40 years ago when the first of 16 schools opened in 1964 (number 17 is in the planning). Now the Sarasas name is on the tips of many parent's tongues when it comes to choosing which school to send their child to. Why is this? Well let's face facts there are many Thai schools, good Thai schools that offer a first class education. What sets Sarasas apart from other schools is that we teach a bilingual curriculum. That is we teach the curriculum set out by the Thai Ministry of Education in the English language along with the Thai language too.

This gives our students the advantage of eventually being able to communicate around the world.

Let's not forget about the teachers, it is a known fact that many parents and students want to come to our schools because of the number and the quality of our foreign teachers.

At Bangbon and Bangbuathong alone we now employ around 156 foreign teachers and still growing.

Sarasas Witaed Bangbon School is now 4 years old. In those 4 years it has gone from 1 building, 500 students and 9 teachers to 7 buildings, over 5,000 students and 126 foreign teachers. Our students range from just over 3 years old up to 15 years. Next year we shall be adding a further grade to include 15 / 16 year olds.

Nearly all subjects taught have a text book to work from. There are one or two exceptions but this is being addressed and books are being written specially for the Sarasas Affiliated Schools. The school is managed predominately by Thai administration and backed up by some foreign coordinators.

The school itself is situated in beautifully landscaped gardens (see our campus section and online photo album) that also encompass the on campus accommodation. All in all, the setting is very relaxing and you would not believe you live so close to the city center.
